Plastiq will initiate a charge to your selected payment method before your payment is sent out for delivery. Depending on the delivery method, this charge can occur several days in advance of your send date or it can occur on the same day the funds are sent. This date is known as your payment's processing date.
Why does this date matter?
You won't see the charge appear on your card statement until we've processed your payment. If you expect your payment to be included in a specific billing cycle for your card, you should pay attention to this date. Many Plastiq promotions will factor in your payment's processing date when determining if your submission is eligible for an offer.
If you schedule a payment for a month or weeks in advance, that payment will not process immediately. We recommend confirming your card's billing period with your card-issuer and keeping track of when your payment(s) will process.
